Every Seeker receives a Gift, a spirit bond, a path to follow.
Every Seeker but Gwyn. When she put her hand in the water and sang the ancient words, she saw nothing. Now an arrogant prince, with sharp eyes that see entirely too much, has come to the forest to train as a warrior. Gwyn will not let him ruin her plan to travel the Silver Path, and she cannot let him discover her secret.
Gavin is alone in the Udell Forest, at the mercy of strange people who refuse to recognize his nobility, with only his hawk to protect him. He’s forced to work like a commoner and train with a crazy girl who hates him. He would leave, but he cannot disappoint his father again, and there is an intriguing power in the Udell’s songs, Connor’s depthless eyes, and the legends of the Cruinn.
Connor knows Gwyn and Gavin are struggling, but he isn’t sure how to help his sister or his father’s prentice develop their Gifts. His own Gift brings him confusing dreams of the past, present, and future. The only thing he knows for certain is that they must work together to find their path.
